Manner of death, as classified by the medical examiner: Homicide. The medical examiner stated that the classification does not declare criminal guilt.

Excluded from ICE’s in-custody death reporting because the death occurred after release. The death occurred within 30 days of release, but Directive 11003.6 made post-release review conditional on a request by the ICE Director.

The medical-examiner account cited by AP identifies February 27; other reporting describes release in Pittsburgh on February 28. Do not force a single day without the release record.
