Why this site is carried here

A 639,595-square-foot warehouse on 39.8 acres at 542 S.E. Loop 410 in Bexar County, known in property records as Oakmont 410. Local reporting based on deed records says the federal government bought it for $66.1 million on a deed reportedly signed January 20, 2026, for a planned immigration processing facility, and reporting on an ICE letter to the mayor says the site was still planned in July 2026 for an estimated 1,000 to 1,500 people daily with an opening pushed to 2027. No reviewed source establishes that the site holds anyone, that renovation work has started, or who would operate it, so occupancy, operator, population, length of stay, guaranteed minimum and inspection fields are all left unestablished. ICE's fiscal 2026 workbook prints no row for it. This record is not an ICE field office, hold room, or any other San Antonio or Texas detention project, and the property name Oakmont 410 is an alias of this record rather than a second facility.

DEVELOPING · PRIMARY AWARD RECORD PENDING

DHS said it had stopped using WEXMAC. A new San Antonio order is now reported under it.

Project Salt Box reports that ICE awarded GardaWorld $17.3 million on August 27 to begin converting the Oakmont 410 warehouse. The exact task-order PIID and federal transaction record have not yet been captured.
